Where is the Dr. Giovanni Di Piazza Testing Laboratory?
The laboratory is situated in the centre of Palermo, in Via Benedetto Gravina 76 (on the corner with Via Michele Amari 41, (closed to traffic), near piazza Sturzo and behind Piazza Politeama. More details in the section  Where We Are.

When is the Laboratory open?
The Laboratory is open Mondays through Fridays from 07.00 am to 2.00 pm and from 4.00 pm to 5.00 pm. It is closed Saturdays and Sundays.

When can I have a blood test?
Time for blood samples is from 07.00 am to 10.30 am, Monday-Friday.

Is the Laboratory recognized by the National Health System?
Yes, it is.

Is it necessary to have a doctor’s prescription in order to have a test?
A prescription is only necessary if you want to obtain an exemption from the National Health System. To have an exempt test, you will need to have a prescription when you come to the Lab. If you decide to pay for your test, the prescription is not necessary.

Do I need an appointment to have a blood test?
No, you may come to the Laboratory in the mornings, from 07.00 am to 10.30 am without appointment. We advise you make an appointment for children under 3.

Is it possible to delegate someone to pick up my results?
Yes, it is, as long as whoever comes has a written authorization and the receipt handed out when taking the test.

Is it possible to receive an estimate on the phone?
Yes, you can call to ask for an estimate from 11.00am to 2.00pm and from 4.00pm to 5.00pm.
